Cleric speaks on total submission of women "a bedrock to marriage sustainability"
....Says "marriage is never an error"
A member of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ifabiyi Olatunji(JP ), on Friday joined other dignitaries at the wedding ceremony of his counterpart, Hon. Nelson Akindolani Akinsuroju and his wife, Mrs Modupe Akinsuroju.
Speaking at the reception of Akindolani and Modupe held at the Ileoluji township civic center in ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of the state, the lawmaker explained that love in matrimony can only remain evergreen if the couple choose to keep away third parties from the affairs of their home.
He identified the fear of God as the cornerpiece of a peaceful home and a long lasting relationship.
Ifabiyi who prayed for the success of the union advised the Akindolani and Modupe should continually remember the quality education and sound mentorship made available to them by their parents and as such must work hard to replicate same on their children.
The State House of Assembly mouthpiece, however, used the opportunity to congratulate the parents of the couple and advised them to allow their children learn the joy and enduring experience of building a virile and productive family.
Dignitaries at the reception include former commissioner for finance in the State, Hon. Wale Akinterinwa, Hon. Fatai Atere of Akoko North Constituency I, Hon. Daodu Raymond (Akoko Southwest I) Hon. Afe Felix (Akoko Northwest II), Akure South and Akure North lawmakers, Barrister Stephen Abitogun and Hon. Kolawole Ologede respectively.
Also in attendance were; Hon. (Dr) Christopher Ogunlana (Irele) Primate Oluwatoyin Allen (Ese-Odo) member of the National Assembly representing Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Festus Ayodele Adefiranye traditional chiefs,Urhobo traditional dynasty and other political associates made it to the event to honour their own.
In a sermon at the holy matrimony between Nelson Akindolani Akinsuroju and his adorable wife, Pastor Olakunle Babatunde Martins of the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria, Mount Zion Parish Ileoluji charged the new couple to uphold their home first before the church.
While noting that "marriage is never an error", condemned the third party in marriage, the cleric advised every home to commit their family to God through prayers without season.
In his remarks, Pastor Olakunle Martins, however, urged women in various homes to be supportive as well total submission to their husbands and above all, be faithful to themselves in order to prevail over temptation such as extramarital affairs which could jeopardise the essential of a good marriage.
He, therefore, prayed the Holy Spirit to continue to guide the union as the couple proceeds in the journey of life.
At the august wedding ceremony amidst tight security were; wives of Ondo State House of Assembly lawmakers, and other top government functionaries.
Nelson Akindolani Akinsuroju is a member of the 10th assembly representing Ileoluji/Okeigbo state constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly.
