Breaking: Polytechnic Lecturer Resigns,Gives Reason

...set to pick Ondo Assembly form 

Dr. Ayodeji Anthony Olawuyi, the Federal Polytechnic Ileoluji lecturer, has resigned his appointment to enable him contest for Odigbo Constituency 2  seat of the Ondo State House of Assembly in the forthcoming state house of assembly election.

This was contained in a letter he signed and addressed to the administrative of the institution on Tuesday.

Dr. Ayodeji thanked the rector of the polytechnic, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku for the privilege given to him to serve under the academic institution.

He said his journey in the federal institution has oiled and broadened his horizon that will be his guide in his future endeavour.

“I therefore by this piece resign my appointment as member of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic Ileoluji forthwith and I look forward to another privilege to work along with you while serving our good people and our fatherland,” he said.

Meanwhile, the former special assistant to governor Olusegun Mimiko is set to obtain his nomination and expression of interest form for the Odigbo Constituency 2 state house of assembly seat.

Dr. Anthony Ayodeji said his decision was borne out of the need to serve the people better with robust representation on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former polytechnic lecturer said that quality representation was one of the yardsticks for good governance, assuring to offer himself for the services of his constituents.

He noted that he decided to join the House of Assembly race in response to calls by his constituents and to offer selfless service to the people.

The academician and estate manager who is vying APC ticket further explained that "democracy could only be entrenched if elected leaders showed genuine commitment to the welfare of the people both in rural and urban areas".

Ondo-State house of Assembly was inaugurated in October 2, 1979.

"Basically,  Odigbo constituency 2 carved from Ifesowapo LGA, from 1st to 10th Assembly making 40 years, Ayesan  an ancient community has been sidetracked.

"No Son or daughter of the Ayesan town has been given opportunity to represent the constituency"

"We are all stakeholders in the state constituency for a particular region/group holding us to ransome for 40 years is undemocratic".

"All party card carrying members should let change the odd narrative"

"I want to appeal to our leaders to embrace peace" He asserted 

He urged party members to vote for him during the forthcoming APC primary election, noting that he has what it takes to represent his people.

Until his resignation, Dr Ayodeji Anthony Olawuyi was a lecturer in the department of computer science in the Schools of Applied Science of the institution.
