Former Ondo Commissioner for Water Resources and Sanitation in the State, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju has officially decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This was even as the party recieved her with her supporters at the party's Secretariat in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Speaking at the occasion, Adeyanju said her coming back to the party, (PDP) was not by mistake but left the All Progressives Congress, APC,due to its inability to serve its citizens better, adding that her coming back is to add values to the Party before, during and after the 2023 general elections.
"As a leader of the Women Groups for Akeredolu’s Campaign in 2016 and 2020 she can no longer pretend that all is well with the APC.
“The APC has brought so much suffering to the people that, anybody with sympathy for people must exit the party” Adeyanju said.
The State party chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams while recieving her, commended her (Adeyanju) for coming back to the party after many years, adding that her presence would earn the party more victories in the forthcoming 2023 poll and other subsequent elections
"This is your source and thanks to God that you have traced yourself back to your source, and with this, People Democratic Party will be victorious in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
Adeyanju was however received into the PDP by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Fatai Adams, Governorship Candidate of PDP in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adeputu, Deputy Gov-Elect of Osun State Hon. Kola Adewusi and Dr. Eddy Olafeso., Engr Faboyede Clement and host of others.
Other party chieftain from Odigbo who graced the occasion included; Hon. Ayodele Joseph, Former Local Government Chairman, Hon. Taye Oguniyi, Former Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon.Sunday Akinjiyan and many others.
Loveleadsnews,however,observed that no fewer than 3500 APC members defected to the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, were all unique, seen in special Ankara fabric.
It will be recalled that Yetunde Adeyanju resigned her appointment as Commissioner of urban and regional planing from the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation in Ondo state before Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu shuffled his cabinet.
