New Month: Ifabiyi urges students to maximise long vacation

The lawmaker representing Odigbo Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Akoni Ifabiyi Olatunji, has urged students to prioritise academic excellence and make productive use of the ongoing long vacation.

The lawmaker, in a statement issued on Saturday by his Press Secretary, Sam Ajide, advised students to engage in meaningful academic activities, including personal research and summer coaching programmes, to improve their knowledge ahead of the next academic session.

He said the holiday period should serve as an opportunity for students to prepare themselves for greater academic success rather than remain idle.

Ifabiyi stressed the importance of hard work, dedication and determination in achieving success, adding that education remains the foundation for producing future leaders and innovators.

He urged students to remain focused on their studies and pursue their aspirations with commitment, noting that perseverance and personal growth were critical to attaining their goals.

The statement quoted the lawmaker as saying, “This is a period to refocus on your studies and discover what you want to do and become in life. You are the future leaders, and we expect you to be committed and serious about your studies.”

He described summer coaching as one of the best ways to equip students for academic excellence and urged parents and guardians to encourage their children to take advantage of such programmes during the long vacation.
