More facts has emerged on Controversies trailing the stool of Ketu community in Lagos
Our correspondent gathered that the Supreme Court had earlier ruled in favour of Babajide Adekoya Adefowora as the new Alaketu of Ketu Kingdom against Mr Wahab Hakeem who according to report entitled to the seat of Oluwo.
It will be recalled that the immediate past monarch, Adeyemi Adefowora who succeeded late Alaketu of Ketu Kingdom, Oba (Dr) Adegboyega Adefowora but was assassinated during coronation, however, causing the stool of Alaketu to remains vacant till date.
A source within the clime while speaking with newsmen condemned Mr Wahab Hakeem act, saying he was just an impostor.
"Wahab Hakeem is a land grabber, he has sold all the land, after the Supreme court, has ruled against him, he approaches State High Court thereby Giving home the ego to be parading himself as the new Alaketu of Ketu Kingdom.
"Someone came from the court, parading himself as a staff of the court later he said he is from DSS, claiming that he came to verify somethings around.
Hakeem knew very well, that he is not entitled to the stool as the new Alaketu of Ketu Kingdom, Because most of the witnesses and the elders are late he now decided to rewrite the history.
"He went further to declare that is father’s house is among the ruling house, forgetting that the history as been told to the government through the court and there’s a judgement over it.
The source however urged the state government, stakeholders to caution Mr Waheed Hakeem to stop parading himself as the new Alaketu of Ketu Kingdom.
While contacting some residents of Ketu Epe,based on the controversies over the Alaketu stool,those who spoke with our correspondent via phone calls, however, called on the presiding judge of the State High Court sitting in Epe, Justice Olaitan to ensure he carry out proper legal scrutiny of the matter before the court with thorough investigations ahead of the February 2023 court proceeding.
