Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji before declared winner of the election polled a total vote cast of 13,967 votes to defeat his rival Dotun Olorunyomi of the People's Democratic Party, PDP who also scored10,796 votes.
While declaring the outcome of the election before all political parties and their agents participated at the collation centre, Isero Grammar School Odigbo in Odigbo Local Government Area of the State at exactly 2:15 am on Sunday, INEC returning officer,Kayode Olufemi said Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel having scored the highest votes in the Saturday's 18 State Assembly election is hereby declared as Odigbo Constituency I lawmaker-elect.
In their acceptability to election results before INEC,party agents from opposition parties led by former caretaker chairman of Odigbo Local Council area,Pastor Olatunde Felix of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, commended the electoral umpire for not being bias during the Saturday's House of Assembly election in the area.
Speaking on the outcome of the election shortly after official announcement by INEC, lawmaker-elect Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel expressed his optimism for winning the seat, appreciated his Constituents for believing in his political agility and sagacity, promised to keep to his campaign promises made during the struggle.
The newly elected lawmaker, however, commended APC faithfuls for hooking up to his aspiration until the battle is won, praising Nigerian security agencies for playing integral part during the poll by ensuring electorates safety.
