States Government's Commitment Towards Cultural Heritage Promotion,Graces 25th Annual Arogbo Festival
Talks Tough on Need for Government to Pay More Attentions to People at the Grassroots
Ondo state governor,Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN,CON has assured all residents of the state that the present administration would continue to promote culture irrespective of various cultural differences and backgrounds in the state.
The governor spoke at the 25th silver jubilee of Aragbo-Ibe festival held at Arogbo town in Ese-Odo local government area of the State.
Governor Akeredolu who was represented by commissioner for finance,Mr Wale Akinterinwa at the festival,the programme which comprises Ijaws in Ondo,Edo, Delta,Bayelsa and Rivers States explained that the commitment of the state government towards the development of cultural heritage remain unshakable.
The finance commissioner and a governorship aspirant under the winning party, All Progressives Congress,APC,noted that people in the riverine communities deserve more attentions of governments particularly in the area of empowerment,job creation and scholarship programmes aside the already malfunctioned amnesty programme.
The outstanding aspirant currently vying Ondo governor's seat in the forthcoming 2024 gubernatorial election noted that his visit to Arogbo Kingdom is aimed at gracing the auspicious cultural festival, adding that his return back to Ijaw community would be when window is widely opened for governorship election's campaigns in the state.
Akinterinwa,while expressing his readiness to serve the people of the state better if elected as governor to succeed the incumbent governor Akeredolu,urged residents of Ondo State to dance for continuity, noting that if considered for the mandate in 2024 the entire state would enjoy rapid development through diplomatic approach.
The state commissioner for finance, therefore commended the people of Arogbo Kingdom for making their efforts noticed during the last presidential election of president Bola Tinubu, saying the effects of the Renewed Hope agenda has being a symbolic to total socioeconomic turnarounds within few months of the new administration in the country.

Mr Wale Akinterinwa was accompanied by a lawmaker representing Odigbo state constituency at Ondo State House of Assembly Ifabiyi Olatunji, a reputable advocator in the state,Barrister Sola Ajisafe,Hon Elefola Solomon, immediate past vice chairman of APC in Ose local government and other top government functionaries.
The APC Guber aspirant also met with some ijaw traditional rulers which include; the Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Pere Zaccheaus Doubra Egbunu,High Chief Government Oweiziede Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo among others.
