The lawmaker also urged motorists plying highways to always adhere to all safety precautions as commanded by concerned authority to avoid unnecessary loss of life at this ember months.
Hon Ifabiyi gave the warning in his new month message as contained in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity in Akure the State capital.
Decrying popular beliefs of some people that ember months are always accompany with all sort of calamities warned motorists to speed less and seal their seatbelts while observing their daily routine to avoid untimely death of passengers and motorists.
He asserted that lackadaisical attitudes to safety measures or lack of taking cognisance of traffic rules and regulations and taking of intoxicated substances are primary causes of road accidents, urging drivers to ensure speed limit devices are installed in their vehicles.
While asking them to also check their vehicle's tyres to affirm if they are in good condition and other vehicular parts, before,during and after yuletide, commended the Federal Roads Safety Corps and other law enforcement agencies for their roles playing by ensuring safety precautions are maintained by motorists.

Let me appreciate the Most High for keeping us alive from January till this moment.
My candid advice go to our motorists. Ensure you comply with safety guidelines and avoid taking alcohol while driving to avoid untimely death.

Recalled that Mr Ezekiel SonAllah,the State corps commandant of the Federal Roads Safety Corps had few days ago launched 2023 ember months campaign where he warned motorists to comply with all safety measures before, during and after Xmas and new year celebrations.
