Wasasa's demise: Hon. Ifabiyi commiserates with family, Odigbo APC

 

A serving lawmaker in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Ifabiyi Olatunji has expressed sadness at the demise of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state, Hon Akindulrueni Samson also known as "Wasasa", describing it as a personal loss.

Upon medical attention, late Akindulureni passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at one of the health facilities in the area.

Extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved and the APC in Odigbo ward 8, Ifabiyi stated that the death of Late Akindulureni Samson is not only a loss to his immediate family, but also to the entire peace-loving people of Odigbo local government and Ondo state.

Ifabiyi, who is a lawmaker representing Odigbo Constituency 1 disclosed that he felt the loss personally, given his years of association with good people of Odigbo town and the late Akindulureni as a pragmatic politician and chieftain of the ruling party, having possessed quality leadership traits while alive.

While describing Odigbo town as his second home, the lawmaker lamented that the late Akindulureni departed at a time when his sound moral and political views on issues were much needed in the ongoing peace-building efforts in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.

According to him “He would be sorely missed,” just as the lawmaker grieved, even as he prayed God to grant the immediate family and members of APC in Odigbo ward 8 the grace to bear the irreparable loss.

 “May God grant the soul of the departed chieftain eternal rest. To the family, I encourage you to reflect on and be strengthened by the positive impact of community service and goodwill to others your late loved-one left behind,” Ifabiyi stated.
