Ondo Community Appeals to State Government to convert Community Secondary School to Public-owned Institution



We can no Longer Pay Our Children's School Fees, Widows in Araromi Oladapo Village Cry Loud

Community stakeholders in Araromi village via Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday,called on Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON and the Ministry of Education in the State to consider their plights by taking over the only Grammar School in the area from community control.

Those stakeholders made the pledge while fielding questions from newsmen on how the community grammar school is being control, manage and finance at the expense of students population amidst the current economic downtrodden which has negatively affecting farmers in suburbs communities.

While addressing our correspondent based on the education facility in the area,the Baale of Araromi Oladapo Community,High Chief Olamilekan Adeyeye explained that since over thirty years of the establishment,the institution has been financed through community efforts,however lacks all necessary educational tools due to high cost of laboratory equipments for science students.

The community head maintained the academic staff of school despite their educational standards have continue to endure with the meagre being pay to them, hoping for glamour after the tunnel, adding that the school has no fewer than three thousand returning students while at least,over two hundred and seventy five students were also admitted into Junior Secondary School for 2022/2023 academic session.

"We are appealing to Ondo State government to help take over the our secondary school

We have written to the State Government and the concerned board over this matter.

The community is currently incapacitate to run the school anymore.

We over 3,0000 returning students and also,no fewer than 275 students have also been admitted to the school for this 2022/2023 academic year". Chief Adeyeye explained.




Also,the Iyaloja of Araromi Oladapo Community,Hadjia Ramata Mohammed who urged Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on the need to fast track the approval of the school for its transition to government owned institution said sixty percent of women shouldering these students'academic welfares are widows.

Hajia Mohammed noted that the two main public schools, Ore Community High School and Muslim High School respectively are about 35 kilometers away and most parents can not afford to expose their children to danger on a poor road especially as insecurity in the country becomes order of the day in Nigeria.

"60% of women of this community are widows who are without enough financial strength to take responsibility since our cocoa farms are no more producing in quantity like before.

Our Dear governor, both Ore Community High School and Muslim High School are more than 35 Kilometers away from us. And you know, it  is dangerous for someone to walk in this dangling security as we all understand that we are at the security risk". Hadjia Ramata Mohammed hinted.

Two other notable cabinet members of Araromi Oladapo community including,Abdulwasiu Adesina the(Youths Leader) and one Mr Stephen Ojediran, JP, while also speaking vehemently on the need for government to to take over the thirty-five years old community college in the area said,the entire villagers of the community have been so loyal to the present administration and the APC even when the party was without form, adding that each time of election the entire community always listen to the last order of the Baale, High Chief Olamilekan Adeyeye, compelling everyone to vote any of the ruling All Progressives Congress candidate.

The duo also pointed out that the previous elections held so far,all villages under the watch of High Chief Olamilekan Adeyeye jointly delivered for APC even in the face of intimidation and life threatening by opposition parties, appealing to Ondo State government to approve the aged long proposal of the institution and consider it done in order to relieve residents in the payment of teachers' salaries and proper resuscitation of the school.

Each time of election, Araromi Oladapo must deliver because he compels even when the party were still crawling and also till now

We can assure you Mr,we can say it boldly that 99.9% residents of this community are elements of our great party, APC. And each time the election is called for,we vote massively for whoever candidate our part provide even in the face of problems by opposition.

We urge your government to help us to help us handle this school. we pay the teachers meagre at the end of the month through community purse". The duo noted.

Across sessions of community leaders in Araromi Oladapo, therefore commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON,for antiwar crusade against criminalities and the criminals and his Infrastructural development agenda, noting that posterity will never forget the present administration of the governor.
