The 2022 Rotimi Canada Football Tournament has, last week Thursday begun.
This was contained in a sport update release from the Sport Desk by one of Mr Rotimi Akinwande's campaign official, Matthew Ayodeji via his WhatsApp page on Saturday.
The opening match of this tournament season was between Winners FC and the Golden Star FC at Odigbo Township Stadium in Odigbo, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State ably sponsored by the House of Representatives Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Candidate Ileoluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency,Hon Rotimi Ade Akinwamide.
According to Mr Ayodeji,the set up of the football tournament for football teams in the area is to discover Nigeria's future Stars from the grassroots across the two Local Councils.
The close ally to Hon Rotimi Akinwamide most often called Rotimi Canada further hinted that at the end of the tournament game,the winning team would be chanced to secure better advantage, adding that others who also take part would as well have some take home merits.
"This is to bring to the notice of the general publics that the 2022 Rotimi Canada Football Tournament has commenced.
Aims and objectives of this tournament is to fix out best players among multitudes in future celebrities in the National Football Gallery". Matthew Ayodeji quoted.
However, Mr Matthew Ayodeji Ojo on behalf the House of Representatives Candidate of APGA, Hon Rotimi Ade Akinwamide, therefore, advised members of each team to ensure they add values to their football clubs by putting in their best skills throughout the season to claim the victory.
