Igburowo Town Standstill With Rousing,as ODLG Chair Storms Akamuja Palace



•IDC, Others Call for Total Revamping of Social Amenities

•Blame BEDC for Unprecedented Hike in Electricity Tariff,

•Extol Gov Akeredolu,Ondo First Lady,Yeye Oba of Igburowo

The Akamuja of Igburowo, Oba Nelson Gbadega Adesanoye has urged Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN,CON,of Ondo State to help resuscitate social amenities and bring more Infrastructural developments to the community in order to curtail rural-urban migration.

The traditional ruler also called on Ondo State Government to caution the Benin Electricity Distribution Company,BEDC  over the current unprecedented hike in electricity tariff which has led to four months power outage in the affected community.

Oba Nelson Gbadega made the appeal while receiving in the audience of Odigbo Local Government Chairman,Deaconess Margaret Akinsuroju during her glitz and glamour visit to Akamuja's Palace in Igburowo, Odigbo Local Council Area of Ondo State.

The monarch who commended Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for his numerous achievements recorded especially in the construction of Ore flyover bridge but few to mention explained that the present administration in the State has made tremendous impacts for its citizens in the area of security architecture,human capital development projects and among others.




Also, the Igburowo Development Committee, IDC led by the SAMA of Igburowo Kingdom,High Chief Samuel Adeyemi maintained that the ancient town is currently devastating in the area of basic and social amenities, noting that the main public primary and secondary institutions in Igburowo,pupils and students are nagging behind in effective teaching and learning skills due to unavailability of teaching staff in the schools.

They also noted that Igburowo town and other twenty three neighbouring communities have been living with abysmal neglect in spite of their contributions towards the progress of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ajue Ward, adding that Igburowo Kingdom would ever remain committed to APC since its hallmarks seem to be indelible.

Across sessions of community stakeholders including the Akamuja of Igburowo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Nelson Gbadega Adesanoye II therefore, appraised Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN,CON and his aid, Hon Akin Sowore,the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Ondo State,for their roles played during the turbulent time resulting to the success recorded in the aftermath.




Responding, the Igburowo born politician and the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area, Hon (Chief) Mrs Margret Tale Akinsuroju appreciated the monarch and entire community's wheel for their yarning towards the aspirations of the Kingdom,promised not to renege in her striving to develop Igburowo town alongside with about twenty three suburbs communities in the area.

While commending Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his wife, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, for making life more bearable for all citizens of the State, the Yeye Oba of Igburowo Kingdom, Mrs Akinsuroju reiterated her selfless services in ensuring that people living in Odigbo loca council chapter are not left out in any policy and programme of the State Government,just as she equally remained grateful to the present administration in the State.

Shortly after her open address to people of the ancient town at the Akamuja's Palace She, Mrs Akinsuroju, however, insisted that APC led administration would forever reign, urging people of Igburowo Kingdom and entire residents of Odigbo Local Government Area to vote all candidates of the ruling party in the forthcoming February 2023 General Elections in the country. 

Those who accompanied Mrs Margret Akinsuroju to Akamuja's Palace were Chief of Staff to Odigbo Local Government Chairman, Mr Folasile Siji and her Personal Assistant Mrs Ropo Orisadare and among others.

Present at the occasion were the two Olori, members of Akamuja-in-Council, APC leaders in Ajue Ward, youths,market men and women.
