Ondo Sociopolitical Group Tasks Members,Other Nigerians on Importance of PVC to 2023 Polls

As Nigeria is sets to decide its elections, scheduled to hold in 2023,a fastest grown political group in Ondo State, Ìféborí Solidarity Forum has charged its members to ensure they get their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs ahead of the general elections in the country.

Stakeholders of the forum gave the charged while briefing the sitting on what is primarily important to eligible voters amongst members of the group at its weekly virtual meeting held at the usual venue, Oladokun in Ore centrepiece of Odigbo Local Government Area of the State on Wednesday.

It could be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, through its spokesperson, Festus Okoye had at November 10 this year informed those who participated in the last INEC's Continuous Voters Registration exercise ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Speaking on the development, secretary to the association, Comrade Bolarinwa Oyewale popularly called Oyema told those members and other Nigerians to get their PVC particularly those who were not took part twice in the just concluded INEC voters registration.

He also warned that failure to collect their PVCs from their nearby INEC office ahead of the national exercise next year may infringe their disfranchise as it remains the only visa card to 2023 elections.

In his advise, Ìféborí Solidarity Forum president-general, Alhaji Tijani Adeyemi Sangodele commended the entire members of the Working Committee of the forum for their concerted efforts towards the achievements recorded so far, insisting that there wouldn't be any preferential treatment for anyone but at equal rate.

Alhaji Tijani Sangodele during the meeting also reminded members of the group and rest Nigerians the need to vote the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election, urging them not to centre their premonitions on the Muslim-Muslim ticket, adding that Nigeria need a competent, credible with charismatic leadership who is a pacesetter to change the narrative.
