NAPSGAST 2022: HEALTH EXPERTS,EDUCATIONISTS HIGHLIGHT IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE TO HEALTH

Sport as one of the activities binding countries of the world together for interactions must be encouraged by parents because of its essences for  health benefits as it keep the body systems alive.

This was the submissions by medical experts who spectate the final of the 2022 NAPSGAST athletic competition and grand finale programme of its Sport Festival held at Ajue Grammar School Sports Stadium in Ajue,in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday.

A physician, Dr Fesojaye Alaba while explaining the importance of sports to one's life in an exclusive interview noted that it keeps someone fitted and save from being fatigue and reduce stress.

The medical experts while highlighting health benefits of physical exercise maintained that Importance of sport activities can never be over emphasis, saying parents and concerned stakeholders in sport need to collaborate together and embrace it for sound health system.

 Key actors of the event including, Mr Charles Meroyi,Education secretary, Director of School Services,Mr Akinrotimi, a representative of Ministry of Education, Mr Akintunde the Odigbo Local Government chapter of the National Union of Teachers, Mr Afolabi and among others appreciated steering committee of NAPSGAST for the success recorded in the 2022 edition of the anniversary.

Those stakeholders talking tough on the subject matter, stressed that it is imperative for all basic schools and schools of higher learning to underscore sport activities annually.

 

It would be recalled that, Chairman Planning Committee of the occasion, Mr Ilori David Adeniran  on Wednesday, commended Comrade Odebode Olorunfemi and other executive members of NAPSGAST in Odigbo Local Government Area for their indelible contributions towards the attainment of the programme despite all odds, calling on Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON and Odigbo Local Government Council boss, Mrs Margret Akinsuroju to support the drive of the association in fishing out talents to move the world of sports forward in the local government ditto to the State.

Across sessions of officials at the final round of the tournament and its epic and landmark event enjoined governments at all levels to keen in to sport activitiesbas it also promote unity and ease in effective relationship between two or more entities,nations and States.
