......... Tijani Adeyemi Sangodele Urges Aggrieved Political Parties to Remain Calm
This followed hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu declared former national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Tinubu winner of the election having polled 8,453,606 votes to defeat former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party, PDP who scored 6,893,651.
President general of the forum, Alhaji Tijani Adeyemi Sangodele in his congratulations message through his Press Secretary, Samuel Ajide described the victory of the APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as what is expected of Nigerians, saying Tinubu's presidency would be a pivotal to social and economic liberation of the country.
Alhaji Tijani Adeyemi further commended the electoral body, INEC for conducting a free,fair and credible election under intense and rigor atmosphere, noting that the just concluded exercise indicated that Nigerians are truly demanding for total freedom.
While lauding voters for their turnouts during the election process in the last Saturday, ISF president urged members of the opposition parties irrespective of tribal differences to come in unison, describing the president-elect as someone who has what it takes to lead the nation,Nigeria to an enviable height and turnaround things for better.
Reacting to inciting statement made by former president Olusegun Obasanjo and speculations by supporters of the People's Democratic Party and Labour Party respectively, Alhaji Tijani Adeyemi Sangodele appealed to those in question to remain calm in the best interest of our dear country, identified the process as the most free and fair presidential election so far in the history of Nigeria.
