The newly elected member of Ondo state assembly representing Odigbo Constituency I in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state, Hon. Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel has appreciated the good people of the state for their loyalty and doggedness, especially in Ore and Odigbo environs which led to the victory recorded in the last March 18 State House of Assembly election.
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji defeated his counterpart, Dotun Olorunyomi with 13,967 votes to 10,796 and declared the winner of Odigbo Constituency I seat in Ondo State House of Assembly by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday
In a statement signed by his media assistant Sam Ajide,Ifabiyi acknowledged the victory to the good people of Ondo state.
"I am excited about the victory and i dedicated the victory to All Progressives Congress particularly in Odigbo town.
"The elections result shows that the voice of masses were echoed through their ballot.
He however commended Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN,CON for giving him the opportunity to secure and serve the masses despite all odds, dedicated his victory at the just concluded State Assembly election to the leaders and stakeholders of All Progressives Congress both at the state and Local Government levels.
The lawmaker-elect Ifabiyi Olatunji on his address to opposition parties that took part in the just concluded State Assembly election enjoined them not to stay on the fence but ensuring rapid socioeconomic development of Odigbo Constituency I and the state at large through collective efforts since a tree can not make a forest.
He therefore pledged to use his good office complement the good works of the present Akeredolu's led administration when assume office as Ondo State parliamentarian.
