ONDO LAWMAKER IFABIYI INSISTS ON TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY AS ROADMAPS FOR A GOOD ADMINISTRATION



.....As Ondo Assembly Kicks Up Legislative Activities


As Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly resume plenary session on Monday for legislative activities after six weeks recess,a lawmaker representing Odigbo Constituency I Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel,has reassured his constituents of transparent system of administration and accountability.

The lawmaker's reassurance address is contained in a statement signed by his Personal Assistant on media and Publicity,Sam Ajide during a prayer session with some of his team players at his office before the commencement of assembly's plenary in Akure the Ondo State capital.

Hon Ifabiyi noted that though the primary assignment for a legislator is to join his fellow colleagues in law-making duty,hence other interests of the publics should also be at the top priority of his system of administration through transparency and accountability as roadmaps for any ruler who is ready to serve the ruled.

Affirming his readiness to provide palliatives to the poor,Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji also posited that no matter how tense the present economic situation which has affected general states of things nationwide coupled with fuel subsidy removal,his office would create an avenue to listen to people's complaints and ensure proper provisions are made to cushion such effects on them.

The legislator, however maintained that he would always keep the ball rolling with his constituents through proactive measures by having engagements with them at all times.

His statement read: "Prayer is the key for a day like this. We must start with prayer and end up all activities with prayer".

"Categorically,it is obvious that expectations from our constituents is high, hence I must do my part".

"The obligation must be fulfilled especially at this critical times in the country where we have bad economic system and removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government"

Recalled that the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji on June 5 while presiding at a plenary during the 10th Assembly inauguration announced before the house a six weeks recess to enable the house put necessary things in order for the lawmakers towards smooth legislative activities.
