As Orunja Inaugurates New OIYC Excos for Another Four Years

..... Ikueduranni,Others Vow to Be Agents of Positive Change

The Orunja,and paramount ruler of Odigbo Kingdom,Oba (Dr) Rufus Olugboyega Akinrinmade,has tasked youths in the country to be more alive to their responsibilities and be productive,as this would enhance a resounding socioeconomic transformation and general prosperity of the nation.

Orunja spoke at his Palace in Odigbo, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday during an official inauguration of the new executives of Odigbo Indigenous Youths In-Council who will be piloting the affairs of OIYC for a fruitful four years .

Addressing the new Excos,the monarch charged the newly executive members to take bold step in the discharge of their duties however, noting that they would enjoy full palace support,urging them not to be caught up with fear of intimidation.

The traditional ruler,also encouraged them to defend all traditional territorial boundaries against grabbers as well as protecting Odigbo culture, adding that there are cases of land disputes currently pending in court.

While wishing the new Excos well of their different official tasks ahead, informed the youths leader comrade Ikueduranni Oladayo to be tolerant and work as a team in order to edge down at an acceptable, logical and productive end before the expiration of their tenure.

Today, you're inaugurated as new executives of OIYC for the growth and development of Odigbo Kingdom

I'm urging you to be alive to your duties and responsibilities, it's now expected of you to be productive since youths are the future leaders

I can assure you,the palace is absolutely behind you,and on this you must be tolerant,law-abiding and be committed to your tasks for much are expected of you. Orunja warned

 

The Lisa-Lobun of Odigbo Kingdom who also, doubled as Chairman of Odigbo National Association (ONA) Chief Mrs Olufunmilayo Kokumo,during the acceptance of the of oath of office,told executives to act according to constitutional demand,and also loyal to Orunjas' In-Council as good ambassadors of the Kingdom.

Responding,the newly inaugurated Odigbo Indigenous Youths Chairman,Comrade Ikueduranni Oladayo,on behalf of other member executives vowed to work assiduously since the mission is targeted at bringing socioeconomic prosperity to the Kingdom, adding that the physic is like putting a round peg in a round hole..

Comrade Ikueduranni, however,appreciated the Orunja,Oba Dr Rufus Olugboyega Akinrinmade for trust reposing in them, adding that the new Excos would do what it need to ensure achieve profitably within a stipulated four years than their predecessors.

"On behalf of me and my colleagues,I thank the Orunja of Odigbo for locating us as new Odigbo Indigenous Youths In-Council Excos".

"This is just like putting the round peg in a round hole. I believed we will correct the errors".

"I can assure you, that we will perform creditably within the stipulated time of four years",.
