AKEEM OLUWO IN LAGOS POLICE NET OVER LAND GRABBING ALLEGATION

A suspected land grabber identified as Akeem Adelaja Wahab also known as Akeem Oluwo on Monday arrested by Lagos state police command for allegedly selling lands belonging to residents of Ketu in Ikosin-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area of the State.

The suspect according to a source who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity said the operatives of Fraud Department of the Nigeria's Police,Alagbon Divisional headquarters yesterday afternoon stormed the residence of the suspect for the arrest.

According to the source,the brother to Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab was said to have forcefully collected several lands belonging to residents of the community, leaving the people of Ketu in great despair as he has no regard for elders of Ketu Kingdom.

Speaking on the Actus reus of Akeem,the source revealed that the action of the suspect had led many residents deserted Ketu community.

It was also gathered that ninety one petitions were filed by the complainants against Akeem Adelaja who was sometime ago parading himself as Alaketu-elect.

Akeem Oluwo was arrested yesterday afternoon by Alagbon division of Nigeria police.

What I heard was that he was arrested based on his heinous activities as a land grabber as many people have lost their land to his hand.

At least 91 petitions were written against him bordering on land grabbing and other unruly behaviours.

All efforts to reach the Nigeria Police Force Lagos State command to confirm the arrest of Akeem Oluwo proved abortive as of this press time as details of this report would be briefed when contacted .
