STATE LAWMAKER,IFABIYI COMMISERATES FAMILY,ONDO,NBA OVER DEATH OF GOV AKEREDOLU

Says;"Governor's Demise,A Colossal Loss To Lovers of Good Governance

Pinpoints Landmarks of Akeredolu On The Path of Justice,Equity,Fairness

Few hours after the official death announcement of late governor of Ondo State,Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who died at the early hour of Wednesday, Odigbo Constituency 1 state lawmaker, Ifabiyi Olatunji has commiserated with the immediate family and people of the state over the death of former NBA chairman.

The member of the state house of assembly also mourned with the Nigeria Bar Association,NBA over the sudden death of the governor which he referred to as colossal loss to well-meaning Nigerians.

Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji in his condolence message issued by his special adviser on media and publicity in Akure the state capital,and directed to the deceased family, people of Owo and other residents of Ondo state,described governor Akeredolu as a dogged luminary legal practitioner who never condone injustice.

He stated that the gallant Akeredolu has performed creditably in the area of good governance who always represent the general interests of feeble minded Nigerians with truth and nothing but the truth mindset

The lawmaker reiterated by saying the legacy of the late governor especially in the establishment of the Southwest Security Network Agency,codenamed the Amotekun corps to fight insecurity in the southwest zone of the country was unconditional

Hon Ifabiyi in a statement, identified the demise of the governor as a great loss to Ondo, southwest and Nigeria particularly steps and roles played during the last 2023 presidential primary and general elections, adding that his choice for justice,equity and fairness on the move prevailed in the aftermath.

According to him: "I join every members of progressives in Ondo state to commiserate with family, people of Owo, residents of the state and NBA over the death of our political gladiator Arakunrin Akeredolu"

"The death of governor Akeredolu came to me as a person,a rude shock"

"Though,we have to take solace but I want to remind everyone, this is a colossal loss to the southwest"

"His impacts as chairman of the southwest governor's forum,and in the establishment of Amotekun during which insecurity was the order of day are still in vogue"

"He played unforgettable roles during the last APC presidential primary, consequently the general elections where he insisted that the president must come from the south"

"It is true we have lost a great gem".

The rude shock of the governor's death broke out at the early hours of Wednesday after battling with month-long health challenge which untill his death has made the deceased embarking on medical trip to Germany for over five month.
