Mammoth supporters stormed the Akure airport on Thursday evening to receive the leading governorship aspirant in Ondo State,Mr Wale Akinterinwa after his four- day official trip to the nation's capital, Abuja.

Meanwhile,no fewer than three thousand supporters across the eighteen local governments area were seen handling placards with different inscriptions,cheerfully singing solidarity songs to welcome the aspirant back to the state.

It was learnt,upon the arrival of former commissioner for finance in the State, that the governor hopeful,was seen overwhelmed with joy when the larger crowd in attendance received him.

The aspirant,while addressing his supporters shortly after landed at the state airport in Akure at about 6:12pm, apologized for arriving late that, noting that he arrives late as a result of poor weather condition which has led many airspace travellers stranded across the country. 

He said he is optimistic to had served the state as in the capacity of finance commissioner for seven years, noting that his wealth of experience has gained him exceptional leadership qualities to lead the State

"Akinterinwa said: My fellow people of Ondo State,I owe it a debt of gratitude to you all for receiving me back to the state"

"I opted out of Ondo state to Abuja few days ago for a visit"

"With the glory of the Almighty, I had diligently served this state for seven years with hitch-free"

I can not but appreciate you all for building your trust in me in such recognised office".

Hon Wale Akinterinwa, however  promised his supporters and the entire people of Ondo state that soon he would publicly address them about his next line of action .

"Let's wait for the time,when the next idea would be communicated  to the public." Ondo governorship aspirant noted

Among at the airport to received Hon Wale Akinterinwa were members of Ondo State House of Assembly,including Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji, Nelson Akinsuroju, a legal luminary in the state, Barrister Sola Ajisafe,and host other stakeholders of the ruling party in the state.
