Segun Akande popularly known as Olaks, is a Nigerian filmmaker, storyteller, director,cinematographer, and producer holds a diploma in the Art and Technique of Filmmaking from Beijing Film Academy, China.
Some of the academic profession certificats bagged by Mr Segun Akande includes; HSC,Pmp,Hrm, QaQc, Bsc in media and mass communication at Global Wealth University.
Furthermore, he studied Africa Film Drama Art at Apeiro Film Training Academy, Gauteng Johannesburg, Mr. Segun Akande also served for several years in the Nigerian film industry as a renowned cinematographers, editors and directors, like Oreofe Williams, Tunde Kelani, Yemi Sodimu, Doyin Hassan, he founded DRASEG multimedia Concept (Registered), a company that mothers his prior innovative AVI Expression, Olaks Studio and Draseg Film Academy.
In a career spanning for almost a decade, Segun Akande has been able to establish himself as one of the known Director of Photography(DP) and editor. His passion for art, beauty, and esthetics also pushed him to explore the field of cinematography and set design.
In 2013, Segun Akande started working as DP and editor at Oreofe Films and Theatre Production Company owned by the renown Oreofe Williams while also working as a freelancer in Nigeria film production field. Worked with Segun Kayode melody imaging concept, the writer and producer of ‘the story of us’ as his Director of Photography A TV drama series showing already at Ait and African magic family.
He has been able to work in some African countries such as Kenya, Togo, Benin Republic just to mention few and Nigeria interstate.
He participated in the following works as either DP, editor or combination of both;

Segun released Seed Of Shame in 2019, It's an educative, entertaining and informative TV series featuring Raph Niyi, Moji Wonah, and other known actors.
.‘Seed of Shame’ is a family drama, which centers on the act of deception and its effect on the home and the society at large.
‘Seed of Shame’ is a must watch for every home as it exhibits and corrects the negativity in the home that eventually adds up to the ills of the corrupt society we live in. ‘Seed of Shame’ states that nothing will forever be hidden; there will always be a reward for every shameful act.
Olaks studio and Draseg Film Academy owned by Segun, has been able to breed editors, DPs and upcoming artists.
Draseg Film Academy produced The movie: Bosslady and JIC.
Segun’s goodwill and willingness to help has made it widely known as a routine for an individual(s) or groups coming to him crying and leaving smiling.
Draseg multimedia concept brings an empowerment program twice a year, for those who are not capable to go to abroad to film school. We come along with this initiation to empower the youth
This also come as a result to help the government when buhari government came across LAZY YOUTH IN 2019
Until now, Mr Segun Akande has alot of students who are established through Film Academy, registered under Draseg multimedia concept.
The film exponent was born in Lagos through the family of Pa Akande who hails from Oke Ogun, Ijiyo, Oyo State Nigeria.
Consequently, it is of general public that, 'Draseq Film Academy' is hosting it's 2025 CineArt academy session in Ogun State,the three weeks programme is set to commence by August from Monday to Friday.
