... Insists on quality representation
A frontline house of assembly aspirant and a serving lawmaker representing Odigbo Constituency 1 in the Ondo State House of Assembly, ifabiyi Olatunji, has been screened by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress on Monday.
Ifabiyi was said to have appeared before the committee as an aspirant for the Odigbo Constituency I seat for another term.
The screening exercise came on the heel, ahead of the party’s primaries as scheduled by APC national leadership following an official release of 2027 general elections timetable by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The screening exercise, conducted by Screening Committee held at the party’s state secretariat in Akure, is a broader part of preparations for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Ifabiyi assured the committee of his readiness to serve with responsibility, experience and integrity.
Speaking shortly after the exercise , the lawmaker explained that his intention to contest the seat for a second term is driven by a desire to deepen development and as well for effective representation for Odigbo Constituency 1.
He also expressed appreciation to party leaders and stakeholders for their support.

Recall that the lawmaker had earlier said his representation would continue to focus on infrastructure, education, agriculture, and social welfare under its development plans.
It would also be recalled that Ifabiyi Olatunji had earlier submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms at the APC State secretariat in Akure, signalling his readiness to provide quality representation when reelected as member of the state house of assembly.
The screening exercise, is part of APC’s internal procedures to vet aspirants seeking elective positions under the party platform.
