A popular Yoruba Ewi Exponent, Ambassador Adeoriyomi Adekunle Olanrewaju popularly called Ayekooto,Akile Oro, has explained how he escaped an assassination attempt by an unknown gunmen at Ijegun, in Ijebu Ode Local Government area of Ogun State on his way back to Ondo State for his professional assignment .
Ambassador Adekunle Ayekooto, while briefing newsmen on Friday, said the unknown gunmen suspected to be hired assassins attacked his alone cab, Uber car, along the road closed to the School of Health Technology, Ijegun, Ogun State on Thursday night at about 10:45 pm.
The victim further explained that those suspected hired assassinators also took away his luggage, containing his Identity Card, Permanent Voter's Card, Phones, Laptops and some cash worth about Fourty - Four Thousand Naira.
He maintained that during the horrible attack where everybody fled for safety, saying, the whereabout of Uber driver is yet to be ascertained till now.
“The whereabouts of the Uber Driver was not yet identified, as i can't identify the exactly things that might have happened to the driver during the horrible attack, whether he's alive or not, no one can say but it is my prayer that God should help protect him” Ayekooto added.
Ambassador Adekunle Adeoriyomi, however,called on government at all levels to entrench security architecture of the country, especially at this time of insecurity ravaging in many parts of the the nation.
He equally used the occasion to charge his supporters and the general publics to disregard anyone who may be perpetrating evil with any of his lost belongings, assured them that no amount of threat would serve as deterrent to his calling, adding that he would continue to stand on the truth and nothing but the truth as a true servant of God.
“I want to thank God that the devil is a liar and His children will always be protected. Thankfully I am well upright and none of my body was hurt, while am using this medium to appeal to the Government at the national, state and local level to continue to strengthen up their security operations in protecting the main reasons of their primary assignment to the citizens”.
“Let me assure my well-wishers, fans and my supporters that this incident has not deterred me, rather it has made me to be more vigilant. So, I'm using this medium to inform you all, the general public to disregards all forms of unknown people that might form to be me, by using all my lost credentials or identities to scam people. Please, be security cautions”, Ayekooto stated.
