FRSC in Ondo Flags off Ember Months Campaign, Tasks Motorists on Traffic Regulations

The Federal Road Safety Corps Commander, Ore Unit command, Mr Sikiru Alonge on Thursday, warned motorists plying major highways in the country to always adhere strictly to safety precautions especially 
during yuletide season.

The FRSC boss gave the warning at the flag off ceremony of the 2022/2023 Ember Months Campaign held at the Ondo State Park Management Committee Zonal Office, Isero Park ,Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.

When explaining some attitudinal behaviours of some motorists while on duty at the occasion, maintained that for drivers to avoid road crash and untimely death,all traffic precautionary measures must strictly be adhered to in order to save lives most especially during the the celebration.




He further noted that the flaging off of Ember Months Campaign tagged: "Avoid Speeding, Overloading,Unsafe tyres to arrive Alive" is aimed at sensitising road users on the implications of going for semi-used tyres and other important vehicle's spear parts.

Mr Sikiru Alonge while also crediting the improvement in ensuring that all motorcycles in Odigbo Local Government Area are fully registered by the relevant agency,he charged others to do so in order to avoid being sanction.




The essence of this year 2022/2023 Ember Months Campaign is centered on how we can save our lives from road crash.

It is now abomination for any motorists toying highways to put their vehicles in good condition such as original tyres, avoid overspending, overloading.

On the issue of unregistered motorcycles,there is an improvement on that now compared to those days. It's advise to others left behind to do so on time to avoid penalty. FRSC boss warned.




Representatives of the Nigerian Police Force, Area Traffic Officer,ATO,Omosehin Oye and Ore Zonal Commander of Southwest Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps, Pastor Emmanuel Ogundana  tasked motorists to also abstain from taking alcohol, other hard drugs and to also avoid hasting while driving.

We urge all road users to do away from taking alcohol when on steering, avoid hasting. Security agencies added

The Royal Father of the Day,the Oworofun of Lapahun,Oba Solomon Adejayan in his Royal advise,urged motorists to limit speed, blamed governments for not providing necessary assistance in making spear parts more affordable for motorists.




Always limit your speed. You can only get to your destination alive when you're cautioned.

Government has failed to provide enabling environment for motorists to have access to original spear parts. Oworofun noted.

The event which was accompanied by a playlet has in attendance,members of  drivers unions,ODIRS officials, Local Government representatives, members of National Youth Service Corps,head of market women and member publics.
