•Victims Bemoaned Absence of Adequate Fire Facilities at Zonal Station

Pandemonium rocked Ore metropolis in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday afternoon when a fire outbreak gut one of the generation banks located at the heartbeat of the city, a branch of Wema Bank PLC .
The incident was said to have caused serious tension among shop owners and people living around the premises as they ran helta sceta to their dear lives.
An eyewitness account gathered that the fire was suspected to have emanated from the generating set in the bank when smoke started evolving through the roof of the bank's building .
The fire outbreak was later brought under control by bank customers security personnel on duty, shop owners and passerby who were present at the scene of the incident and forestall it from further spread.
Earlier, the preliminary information reveals that the source of fire outbreak was as a result of overheating of generator set situated beside the bank.
One of the victims,Mr Waheed Afolabi,a motor spare parts dealer while recounting his ordeals said that goods worth millions of naira were claimed by the fire.
Across sessions of those victims bemoaned the absence of adequate facilities in Ore Zonal Fire Service Station to combat such incident in Ore metropolis.
As at the time this report was gathered, the fire has been put off through the joint efforts of security and those bank customers to forestall further damages and the situation of things is now calm.
