It would be recalled that one Hakeem Wahab who only entitled to Oluwo seat has been parading himself as the new Alaketu kingdom after which the court has vindicated the Osokeji ruling House to produce the next Alaketu.
In a suit No LD/721/95 filed by four ruling Houses which are; Odujeru also known as Odele ruling House,Effunderu ruling House,Adeona ruling House and Otuwunmi ruling House against the candidate of Osokeji of the main ruling House, challenging his advantage to fill the vacant stool of Alaketu.
But in its ruling on May 30th,1996 the Federal High Court in Lagos affirmed that it is imperative for Osokeji main ruling House to produce the next Alaketu of Ketu.
It was also gathered that the supreme court had earlier confirmed the extinction of Effunderu ruling House that it can no longer rule in line with tradition of Ketu Kingdom after the demise of late Oba Adeniran who died of monkey pox.
The concerned group of Ketu Epe in a statement made available to loveleadsnews on Friday explained that Wahab Hakeem from Oluwo compound had since he has intoxicated with Alaketu stool, his actions has made everything to be lopsided in Ketu land.
The statement also had that alleged impersonated and self-acclaimed king of Ketu shortly after he ordered the removal of Obaluaye tree, the ancestral tree meant to protect the kingdom against premature death of residents of the community in November this year, no fewer than two pregnant women have reportedly met their untimely death, noting that these were little to mention among many cultural abominations he has commited.
The concerned group in a joint statement further accused Mr Wahab Hakeem of illegal sales of all available land belonging to Ketu Kingdom, aiming at disposing the inheritance of the community unarguably since the dastard killing of Oba Ayodele Adegboyega Adefowora with substance suspected to be charm by unscrupulous elements jostled for the position of Alaketu .
It was also learnt from the communique signed that the suspect have been consulting and luring some top politicians in Lagos including the judge who is to preside over the matter at the Federal High in Epe,Lagos for bribe, asking the Nigerian Police and the Ministry of Justice to do the needful without further delay.
The group therefore called on Lagos State Government, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Akali Baba and the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice,Abubakar Malami and top Yoruba traditional rulers not to allow Wahab Hakeem and his cohorts selfish agenda to materialise and override the justice in the slated Monday, November 28 2023 Federal High Court's sitting in Epe, saying Adekoya Babajide Adefowora from Osokeji ruling House remained the authentic candidate to fill the vacant stool of Alaketu.
