•Onyendu,Others Charge Members to Be Security Conscious,Get PVCs Ahead 2023 Elections

Addressing members at the Onyendu's Palace in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area, Imo People's Assembly chairman, Prince Emmanuel Ihuoma congratulated the people for witnessing the final sitting of the year
Appreciating God for keeping every member of the assembly alive, Chairman of the group in Odigbo, Prince Emmanuel Ihuoma charged members to always seek God's face especially as people would be traveling home for Christmas and New Year celebration for yuletide.
Prince Emmanuel Ihuoma urged all celebrants to be security conscious and to be law-abiding citizens, prayed God that no one would be a victim of disaster before during and after the festive season.
He charged members of Imo People's Assembly not to bow for any pressure where not necessary, restated that the assembly is saddled with the responsibility of fighting injustice and to render any available assistance to any adherent member as a registered association.
Prince Emmanuel Ihuoma however urged government to create job advantage for youth, adding that the intervention would bring about reduction in crime and criminalities in the country.
The Imo People's Assembly's Chair Lady, Mrs Josephine Ubah while urging women to be committed to their duties at their various homes for better and safer society, appealed to all men not to engage in any Gender Based Violence, GBV, adding that Ondo State Government through the Office of the First Lady, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu,provision of laws against women brutality is now set to address the matter.
In his homily remarks,the Onyendu of Ore Kingdom,High Chief Wilfred Onyema who also felicitated Imo People's Assembly members ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations enjoined his people on the need to traditional law and government directives.
Chief Wilfred Onyema advised those who had participated in the last Continuous Voters Registration exercise to get their PVCs ahead of the 2023 general elections, urging them to be more security conscious before, during and after the yuletide.
He equally charged them to be actively participate and exercise their franchise in the forthcoming general elections, saying their PVCs remain their power to vote credible and competent representatives as electorates.
Also present at the occasion were former Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Igbo Affairs in Ondo State, Prince Egbulefu Uzoma, members of Igbo Traders Association, and Imo State Chapter of businessmen and member publics.
