Ifabiyi Olatunji,the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC gathered 13,967 to defeat PDP House of Assembly flag bearer, Dotun Olorunyomi who scored 10,796 in the last March 18 Ondo State House of Assembly election.
Commending the Christian family at the new site of the association at Sifawu village via Ore in Odigbo Local Government area of the State for standing firmly with APC and its candidates in the February 25 Presidential and March 18 State cabinet elections, Ifabiyi pointed that he really enjoyed spiritual and physical supports from clerics before and during the election period which he clarified as turbulent period.
While explaining the roles of religious leaders in nation building, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji noted that those condemning the president-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu based on religion and ethnic differences are not after the development and economic prosperity of Nigeria.
The lawmaker, therefore pledged to support both Christian and Muslim communities where and when necessary after resuming office as Member of Ondo State House of Assembly.
Responding, Odigbo Local Government CAN chairman, Pastor Paul Atansuyi, venerable Emmanuel Ogunlana of Celestial Church of Christ and other clerics, congratulated Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel for his victory in the just concluded poll.
Pastor Atansuyi in his remarks,prayed God to give the newly elected lawmaker the grace, opportunity,long life and prosperous tenure of office and for his future endeavours.
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji also visited the ongoing State High Court project in Ore where he and some stakeholders including the Ayadi of Ore Kingdom, High Chief Tope Ijiniga and the Jomu of the town,Chief Monday Sawoju and other prominent people of the community engaged in interlocutory session to move Ore forward as a cosmopolitan city.
