A newly inaugurated Member of the state assembly representing Odigbo Constituency I of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state, Hon. Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel has attributed his victory in the assembly poll to God.
The lawmaker made this known on Sunday in a thanksgiving service held at the Evangelical Church of Winning All Mile 9 Onisere Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.
Ifabiyi said it takes a man to create impacts and succeed only when it is destined by God.
While recounting some of his ordeals from his tender age, Ifabiyi noted that destiny can never be changed, it may only be delayed.
His words, "I gave all the glory to Almighty God the finisher of our faith who has helped me this far"
He appreciated the State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN,CON for his stabilized supports before the last 2022 APC's primary and general elections respectively,just as he however prayed, God to give him quick recovery from his ailment.
The Ondo State legislator commended people of his immediate Seven Political Wards for opportunity given to him to serve, reaffirmed his commitment to serve his people and the State better, adding that he would continue to toe the path of legacy by intensifying the good governance of governor Akeredolu.
Wife of the State lawmaker, Mrs Lola Ifabiyi promised to integrate women through empowerment programmes and to also ensure full participation of women in politics comes reality in the Constituency I within her limited capacity.
The traditional ruler of Onisere Kingdom His Royal Majesty Oba Olafusi Gbemi Johnson who claimed his people have been marginalised however appealed to Ondo State government not to renege in providing social amenities and jobs for the teaming graduates in the area.
Earlier, in his short message from psalms 34 verse 1-5 tagged: "Trusting in God is the Sure Success", Pastor Arinde Peter of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA informed christians to put their trust in God in any situation.
Pastor Arinde stressed that only those who put their trust in God would always be blessed physically and spiritually,save during persecution,tribulation, saying that He is the only supreme being that can set- free the captive.
While acknowledging Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel before elected as lawmaker as a God-fearing, astute politician and indispensable leader the cleric urged him to committed to the service of humanity when resume duty as parliamentarian at Ondo hallow chamber.
Pastor Arinde Peter, however, tasked members of tenth National and State Assemblies to work out modalities to rescue the country from its State of penury, insecurity, unemployment and other social vices ravaging Nation.
He equally reminded christians the need to move closer to God before the arrival of the Son of Man transfigure,saying the world is gradually winding down.
The event was graced by NDDC Board Member, Hon Olugbenga Edema, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon Amidu Takuro, Baales political associates interethnic groups and other well-wishers.
It could be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji winner of Odigbo Constituency I seat of Ondo State House of Assembly in the March 18 election after polling a total vote cast of 13,967 votes to defeat his opponent Dotun Olorunyomi of the People's Democratic Party, PDP.
