Says Nat'l Assemblies Must Underscore Circumspect Leadership

Hon Ifabiyi made the comment while addressing journalists to congratulate Nigerians on the occasion of this year's Democracy Day in commemoration of the June 12 anniversary on Monday.
Speaking on the remarkable day in Ore the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of the State,the lawmaker noted that the price paid by former presidential flag bearer of Social Democratic Party,SDP Chief Mashood Kasimawo Abiola in 1993 and how his wife Kudirat Abiola was murdered in cold blood was a symbol of a true sacrifice for nation's emancipation from military autocratic leadership.
Hon Ifabiyi pointed out that compatriots in the country must complement historic strides of democratic nationalists by compensating them for their service that brought about the emergence of democracy system of government which has contributed to nation's political practices.
He said the entrenchment of democratic practice in a country like Nigeria can only be achieved if the entire subjects are politically integrated for a common purpose to move the country forward instead of agitating for self-government
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji, however advocated for better Nigeria,calling on the three major ethnic groups in the country to form a formidable ideology in collaboration with the central government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration in order to make his Renewed Hope blueprint comes reality.
The Ondo State legislator also asked members of the two National Assemblies to support right candidates for their leadership positions by underscoring a circumspect leadership that would work and support the president in good policy-making process in ensuring that Nigeria wax stronger for its economic prosperity.
Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji therefore used the occasion to pray for progress and stability of the country.
MKO Abiola who was born on 24 of August 1937, contested for the June 12 1993 Presidential Election under the defunct Social Democratic Party, SDP and was assassinated in July 17,1998 in Abuja.
