.....We'll Resist Imposition At All Cost-Youths

Describing the plan to impose Mrs Nwamara as first pioneer caretaker chairman of the new LCDA at the governor's office Alagbaka Akure, spokesperson for the protesting youths comrade Jimi Akinyan urged the state government not to surrender to any personal interest that may lead to lawlessness in the area.
According to comrade Akinyan,no imposition attempt would take its stand in Odigbo noted that there can never be peace, justice and equity without fairness also alleging that one Ogundare Waheed marginally won the councilorship primary in 2020 before obeying the last order where the mandate was given to her.
He explained that all residents since time immemorial have been enjoying peaceful coexistence in Odigbo with expensive aggrandisement which has made Odigbo stand out among 18 local governments areas of the State,adding that is only the elected president or governor has constitutional right to control,direct and has absolute power to decide over State or a country's programmes and policies.
Odigbo youth spokesperson however,argued that it is aberration for such imposition to take place at the moment where Odigbo community is politically handicapped, insisting that the idea would not be acceptable by any means.
Across sessions of them therefore urged Ondo state acting governor Lucky Ayedatiwa and member representing Odigbo Constituency 1 at state house of assembly Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji to urgently devise means of dousing tension, adding that this must properly addressed before resulting into aggravation and anarchy.
"We 'ill not succumb to any any imposition plan by person's under the guise of holding political offices."

"We could remember,Waheed Ogundare won by polling 419 votes to defeat Eucharia who had 4 votes during primary in 2020 but we were asked to give the mandate to her".

While saluting the aggrieved youths for playing maturity by making their voice heard through their peaceful demonstration,Ondo State Acting Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa advised them to put their house in order in order for them to arrive at a desirable point.
Speaking on the system of government,the Acting Governor noted that lobby is part of government's measures in the appointment process and consideration where many show interests,urged them to consult a member representing Odigbo Constituency 1 Ifabiyi Olatunji,Pa Ayantoye Adejumo and other notable leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC for better resolution.
"Demonstration is welcome in democratic setting as a means of making government aware of public interest,therefore I salute your maturity"
"To get things done right on your perception,let your being in order by engaging with your actors at the local government, then you arrive at your desirable point". Aiyedatiwa advised
On his part, a member representing Odigbo Constituency 1 at Ondo State house of assembly, Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji advised protesters to be calm, urging them to sheath their swords and that their agitations and aspirations would soon be addressed by concerned stakeholders.
Also present at the scene of the protest were the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Catherine Oladunni-Odu and other members of the State Executive Council.
Recalled that in a press conference held at the weekend Saturday 19th of August 2023, the youths in Odigbo community flaunted publicly that any attempt to impose Eucharia Nwamara a female politician as the first pioneer caretaker chairman of the new Odigbo LCDA would be resisted.
