***Dwells On Workers' Accountability, Efficiency, Proficiency In Public Sectors
As Acting Governor, Aiyedatiwa Presents #384.53b Ondo 2024 Budget
The Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts at the Ondo State House of Assembly,Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji has called for more professionalism in all public sectors for effective service delivery.
The lawmaker also dwelled for accountability, efficiency, proficiency and transparency for all officers of public offices to enhance satisfactory and acceptable productivity.
Hon Ifabiyi gave the recommendation while presenting the reports on 2019/2020 public accounts,and 2020/2021 local government accounts at the plenary session of state house of assembly at the sunset of Thursday.
Hon Ifabiyi, who insisted that these core values are paramount for sustentation of public sectors,also recommended that queried government workers sanctioned for negligence or other related aberration should be denied of receiving running grounds and other related benefits.
On this date before this Honourable house,this committee wishes to put the following recommendations for the consideration and approval of the following items:
In a report submitted by PAC chairman, which was moved by majority leader of the house,Hon Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi, and seconded by Dr Christopher Ogunlana from Irele state constituency 1 before it was received by speaker,Rt Hon (Chief) Olamide Oladiji.
This followed shortly after the State Acting Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa presented 384.5 billion naira budget before Ondo State House of Assembly.
