Salah: Ondo Lawmaker, Ifabiyi Fete Muslims on Eld-el-Fitri Celebration

...seeks prayers against national challenges

The Chairman House Committee on Information nformation, Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ifabiyi Olatunji (JP), has congratulated Muslims in the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.

The lawmaker representing Odigbo state constituency 1, tasked citizens to embrace peace as the country grapples with its numerous challenges.

Ifabiyi gave the admonition in a statement in Ore, headquarters of Odigbo local government area of the state on Friday to fete the faithfuls in Odigbo constituency 1 and Ondo state for the denouement of this year's Ramadan fasting.

While reflecting on the good tidings of Ramadan, the parliamentarian called for prayers against disunity, unrest, crime and all other vices hindering the stability of the country.

According to Ifabiyi, ”We desperately need God’s intervention in view of the challenges facing the nation.”

He further urged all citizens to be fair to one another and seek restoration through repentance, humility and love.

The lawmaker condemned the the recent kidnapping, banditry attacks, and other social vices in some parts of Ondo state and their masterminds, just as he commended the security operatives in the state for restoring peace and orderliness in Ilu-Abo in Akure north local government area and its environs.

He, however, urged the people of the affected communities to always provide security agencies with credible and actionable information that could help concerned authority to crack down on criminals and their sponsors.

Ifabiyi also called on citizens in Ondo state to support the present administrations of president Bola Tinubu and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in their efforts in security stability and economic reforms.

"Kudos to our ever gallant security officers who have being of help in tackling insecurity in Ilu-Abo,Ogbese,Owo and other parts of the state".

“The nation is in torrent times. We cannot afford to disunite and break away. We must all join hands in prayers for the continued progress and peace of Nigeria. Nigeria is ours. We must not let it fall.

“Amidst these challenges, some of the positives we are getting in Economy, Health, Social Safety and Infrastructure are pointers to the fact that Nigeria remains indivisible and indissolible. With prayers, Nigeria will be great again. Eid Mubarak!,” the lawmaker concluded.
