LAGOS RESIDENTS FUME OVER ALLEGED DASTARD DESTRUCTION OF HOUSES BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT

The Landlords Association of Oluwa village in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State has clarified that the lands of Oluwa village belongs to them 

The landlords made this known while expressing thier grievances with our correspondent via chat recently. 

The traditional ruler of Oluwa, His Royal Highness Oba(Alhaji) Rosululahi Adewale while speaking with our correspondent accused the Lagos state government for destroying thier respective houses. 




"We don't build our houses on the Govt land, Govt said they are the owner of the land when it was taken to the court, which we won eventually. 

"It was later that the Lagos state government gave an order to bulldoze some houses in the area. 




They unanimously appealed to relevant stakeholders, Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, chairman, Southwest Governors' Forum doubled as Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON and wife of the president-elect Senator Oluremi Tinubu and that of human rights lawyer,Femi Falana to wade in with immediate alacrity for them not lose their owned properties.

Those residents also called on the leadership of the Lagos State House of Assembly,under the auspices of the State parliament speaker, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa and prominent traditional rulers including Her Royal Highness Queen (Amb ) Aminat Temitope Ajayi and Oba of lagos His Royal Majesty Oba Akinolu to urgently intervene in the matter.
