Local government,ward executives in Ilaje, Ese-Odo get inaugurated
A group known as Grassroots Movement for Tinubu, (GMT) in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State at the weekend, pledged to deliver the second term mandate for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections in the country.
The group which stormed Igbokoda and Igbekebo the headquarters of Ilaje and Ese-Odo councils area for inauguration of its local government and ward coordinators, told newsmen that there was no alternative to former Lagos State Governor till 2031.
Grassroots Movement for Tinubu, during the august ceremony, applauded the Renewed Hope blueprints of the president which they said, was a right step in repositioning the country to its past glory.
Speaking at the event,state women's leader of the group, Chief (Mrs) Olamide Falana who condemned in strong term on how certain Individuals were preventing members of the GMT from participating in the programme, extolled the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the minister of interior Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for the understanding enjoying among members of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state.
While directing the newly inaugurated mobilisers to proclaim various achievements of president Bola Tinubu since he took the mantle of power in 2023, she commended the convener and financier of GMT in Ondo State, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for standing firm in supporting the administration of the president.
Also, the immediate past Commissioner for commerce,industry and cooperative in the state, Akogun Akinwumi Sowore who also applauded the unprecedented achievements of president Bola Tinubu so far, expressed optimism that the executives would ensure they work assiduously for the success of President and the APC in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
He noted that those constituted to evangelise Tinubu are those who had one time members of Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization (LACO) under the ruling party, (APC) which produce Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the party flag bearer in the November 16 governorship election where the governor won all the 18 local governments in Ondo State.
In his address, the state secretary of the leading APC forum the state, Rasheed Badmus commended the hounourable minister of interior Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for his total support for the Tinubu's reelection project and threw his support for his reelection bid.
Overflow of GMT members in Ese-Odo LGA
Badmus, who emphasised that GMT is a nationwide organisation working for the reelection of the president like other groups under the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state, has come to stay in Ondo State and is already hitting the ground running ahead of the coming presidential race in the country.

GMT state coordinator in Ondo State, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, while reacting, x-rayed the policies and programmes of the President which included economy reform, infrastructure human capital development, reform in security architecture of the nation, social investment programmes as well as liberalisation of the political space.
The two-term commissioner in Ondo State further maintained that the group was convinced that there is no candidate at this period that can match the credentials of President Tinubu, urging Nigerians, old and young, to support the Tinubu's re-election project for him to consolidate the successes so far made and reposition the nation for the future generation.
He urged the executives to embark on sensitisation of electorate and commucate in language they understand about the achievements of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu within two years in office, adding that politics is local.
